Miguel Ángel Gardetti, Ph.D. is Director of Center of Studies for Corporate Sustainability (IESC) since its foundation in 2002, and also performs in the same role in the Center for Studies on Sustainable Luxury. He is a full professor in graduate and master's degree programs both in Argentina and abroad. He has trained CEOs and Corporate Managers of both national and multinational companies in Argentina and Latin America in executive education frameworks and in-house programs.
In addition, for his academic contributions in this area -he was editor and co-editor of several books on the subject published in the USA and UK-, he was awarded the “Sustainable Leadership Award” in the “academia” category (February 2015, in Mumbai, India).
He was the creator of the Sustainable Luxury Award in Latin America, an initiative that has already been awarded for eight editions. He has been a member of the Promoting Group of the United Nations Global Compact in Argentina and was a member of its governing body, the Board of Directors of the Argentine Network of the Global Compact, for two consecutive terms. He co-founded the Global Compact Chair in Argentina and was part of the “taksforce” that developed the “Principles for Responsible Management Education” within the framework of the United Nations Global Compact.
Coordinated work for the Inter-American Development Bank, the International Finance Corporation (private arm of the World Bank), the Netherlands Development Cooperation Service, the United Nations (New York) and the World Resources Institute (USA).
